De Sheffield, no Reino Unido, chega-nos Phlegm, um dos muralistas da Street Art mais emocionantes a surgir no ano passado.
O seu nome (Phlegm = fleuma) surge de um dos quatro principais fluídos corporais na medicina grega antiga (sangue, bílis amarela, bílis negra e fleuma), que se julgava para ser responsável por um temperamento apático e indiferente.
Ele é basicamente um cartoonista e ilustrador, que tem um vício de auto-publicação e arte underground. Todo o seu trabalho de BD é feito com tinta preta e uma caneta mergulho. Phlegm só usa cor ao imprimir em tela ou quando pinta murais (ou aviões).
O seu trabalho é único e intrigante, extremamente detalhado, com figuras distintas e complexa estrutura narrativa e o seu trabalho mais recente a preto e branco lembra-nos Escher e mesmo Edward Gorey.

out of Sheffield, UK, Phlegm is one of the most exciting street art muralists
to emerge in the last year.
Phlegm's name came from one of the four bodily main fluids (or humours) in ancient Greek medicine: blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm which was thought to be responsible for an apathetic and unemotional temperament.
He’s primarily a cartoonist and
illustrator, who has an addiction to self publishing and underground art. All of his comic work is with
black Indian ink and a dip pen. He only uses colour when he’s screen printing
or painting walls (or planes).
His work is unique and intriguing, highly detailed, with distinctive figures and
narrative structure and his recent black and white work recalls Escher and even Edward Gorey.
